Letters of rec. semi-emergency

Today was the last day of school and we are officially on winter break. I didn't realize that on the Common App, Cornell only allows two recommendations. Well, I've selected two recommenders already, and one isn't a teacher.

I need my second recommending teacher to mail his recommendation in, but I don't want to seem rude for having him use his own materials and stamp. I TA for him and he knows me well, but I would hate to breach the mutual sense of respect by having him do extra favors for me.

Questions:
-Should I tell him I will give him an envelope and stamp back. Or would that offend him?
-Tips on how best to explain my oversight to him?

Alright, so this wasn't really an emergency, or even a semi-emergency. I'm just being super sensitive (as always).

Just apologize for the short notice, and then when you see him after the holidays, give him a nice handwritten thank-you note and something like a plate of homemade cookies to thank him for the extra trouble he took. The thank-you note is something you should give everyone. The little present is nice to give people who did something extra.

Thanks. Do you know if letters of rec can generally be emailed to the admissions office? Can teachers access a pdf file of their letter? If he can simply email it, I’d feel less guilty.
