Does anybody know when Emory will be releasing information about who is receiving the Liberal Arts Scholarship? Approximately how many people receive that scholarship, and how much do they get? Is it difficult to get the LAS? What kind of stats do you need to have?
if anyone has any information about it please tell!
thank you so much!
No one can know that and doesn’t seem stats based (some look kind of like the Woodruff interveiwees and some have stats significantly below an average interviewee but have some spike or a lot of community involvement or other desired characteristics that show up in the application) so let that concept go (even the Woodruff Scholars Program is more flexible than other programs when it comes to that, especially the scores component. Mainly a high GPA, rigor, 1 or several spikes/talents help with that). All I know is that it typically comes out when final (RD) admissions come out. But no one will know specific details or have a sample size of past recipients large enough to know and Emory does not publish stats on the amount of recipients (probably because it varies from year to year) so don’t bother. If one cannot tell with Woodruff, why bother with this? Just wait and cross your fingers.
