Liberal Arts then a transfer?

I am extremely scared and nervous about college. It's November 16th and I have nothing done! My grades aren't great and I accept that but I need help no one is giving me. Is it possible or a good idea to attend a liberal arts community college then transfer after a year to my dream school? Also, where do I get essay topics for suny and cuny schools? I no longer think I can do the common app essays with cuny and suny schools.

Sure it is possible to transfer but not ideal. Sometimes the transfer rate is low. Also the aid for transfers is not as good most places.

I think you need to put a few applications in so you will have choices. An application is not a commitment to attend, so relax but get into gear.

Look to the admission pages for all info about applying and there is usually a timeline so you can be aware of critical dates. Google ‘apply suny’ takes you right to the application.

You aren’t out of luck for SUNY application in general. Here is a FAQ response to application deadlines for SUNY as a whole:

So you need to get going right away, but you can definitely still apply.

Agree that you should go to the SUNY application website and read the materials there.
