I’ll be transferring from my college with an A.S. in Liberal Arts in Spring 2016. The priority application submission dates that I’ve looked at have all been around March/April so I am curious why people say to apply as early as November. Wouldn’t the final grades for the fall semester be needed for the application? Right now I have a 3.62 GPA and I am hoping to raise that to at least 3.75 by the end of the fall semester therefore it would be in my advantage to apply after December anyways, but I’m wondering if that will that decrease my chances since everyone supposedly applies early.
My top choices for schools are SUNY Binghamton, Cortland, Stonybrook, and Albany. I’d like to know if I got a shot at getting in with my current 3.62 and if there are any colleges that I should check into. The main reason I’m leaning towards SUNYs is because of the price. My EFC is 0 and I’d need it to be mostly covered by financial aid cause I can’t bring myself to justify over 30K in student loans, but if there are any schools even out of state that I could be accepted into that offer generous financial aid I’d love to know. My intended major is in Economics/Finance. Thanks.
