Lied On My Application

Hello guys,

I had a concern and need some opinions/advice.

I applied to school and put that I am a US citizen I really am under the AB 540 status.

I know I lied, pretty much to make the application process easier.

Inot the begining I didn’t know that my school offered some formore of financial aid for ab540 students so I put us citizen to make it easier assuming I would pay for school on my own.

I found out my school offers some formore of help and honestly I need it, my family barely makes 30k a year and I am a first generation college student, I work two jobs to pay for school.

Any advice on what I should do or who is hound talk to at school to get things sorted out.

Thank you for any advice

Talk to administration at the school you applied or your guidance counselor so they can help you fix it

I am concerned about getting in trouble or getting banned from school, what do you think are the odds vs. Just leaving my application the way it is.

Do not leave the application the way it is!
Contact the school; tell them you didn’t know what to do. They will help you.

If you leave it as is, it will get worse.

The consequences for not correcting your application will affect anywhere you decide to go.
The colleges share information and if you DON’T fix it, they will find out.

Do NOT lie to the colleges!
