Yes, I received one. Are you going to test out of ICS 45C? I am not really sure how hard the exam is, but we have like a month to study for it.
I am going to try to apparently its 30 multiple choice questions and what ever grade you get on the test is the grade you will get on the class on your transcripts. I do think if you get a C or a B on the test and you want an A you do not have to accept the grade, but you would then have to take the class. I was trying to look up info on the test, like what to study, and as much as I hate this website this link had some useful info. https://www.reddit.com/r/UCI/comments/2ah0jv/ics_45c_credit_exam/ this link is also at the bottom of the page http://www.ics.uci.edu/~thornton/ics45c/
In that first link replace the stars with reddit dot com >.< also I am going to try to send in my syllabus for my C++ class that would have been equivalent and try to get it articulated.
Would anyone know how long it usually takes financial aid to process stuff? I submitted my dependent verification form on Tuesday and would prefer to make sure my reward will be the same as shown earlier before i submit my housing lease which is due on the 15th
Did you mail it Tuesday or hand it to them? Yesterday I had to update some fafsa stuff and it was processed by this morning so I imagine they get through it quickly but maybe that is just the electronic documents
Faxed it early morning, they acknowledged they recieved it later on that day and now it needs to be reviewed by staff.
Oh I don’t know then, schools tend to take their time with these sorts of things
The deadline for the documents wasn’t until the 20th anyway so i figured they wouldn’t be rushing. I wish VDCN would at least be more generous with their deadlines instead of rushing me into the lease.
@Bawwwww hey! If you would like more information or want to talk about any questions or concerns with other peers, please consider joining the “UC Irvine Fall 2016 Transfer Student” facebook page
You must work in sales XD
Hey, just got a housing offer for arroyo vista. Says I was placed in the “second year experience program” themed house. Anyone know exactly what that is? Put transfer down as my main preference.
Just got a Housing offer for Camino Del Sol. Was extremely hoping a VDCN or VDC housing offer.
Just got notification confirming my advisement from the school of social ecology
Forgot to ask if anyone was going to the engineering academic advisement yesterday. Little to late now eh.
So I just declined my transfer guarantee housing from CDS as it was a June-June lease. Now I was offered to sublease a place for the academic year but have questions in regards to the process. Anyone had experiencw with taking or giving a sublease for an on-campus apartment?
So when do our classes actually transfer? I can’t even sign up for all 3 classes my advisor gave me for fall in my plan due to overlapping lectures, so im stuck for now.
Just a heads up if you were hoping to buy your fall parking permit early like me… they are only sold monthly, and there will be an email sent mid August about getting a permit.
They are sold monthly but you can buy more than one month at a time. Also a little tip even if the sessions start or end mid month the parking permits are the same price so you might as well do the 1st of the month of the quarter until the 31st of the month of whatever quarter you are buying.
You never know when you might need to go on campus and say you buy a parking permit for September 19th (1st day of fall quarter but not instruction). What if you need to go on campus the week before? That’s still a ticket. I usually buy my permits a quarter at a time but FYI the regular parking permits actually go faster than you think. Especially Zone 6 which is the student center parking structure.
Yeah my classes are by the Mesa structure… How is it mid quarter and do you recommend the more expensive permit
Do any of you guys know how hard it is to change your major at UCI? I wanted to change from Public Health Policy to Public Health Sci (both under the same school). The reason why I applied as a PubHlth policy rather then PubHlth Sci was because I didn’t have all the pre-reqs done for PubHlth sci. I know it seems like I’m cheating going in as a different major and trying to switch but the only reason why I did this was because I literally needed only 1 more course (bio sci 94) for PubHlth Sci and I didn’t want to stay in community college for another whole year just because I needed one more class. I was gonna ask my counselor during the academic advising but wanted your guys’ input as well.
