@nicknao I still have not received a package in the mail. Are we even sure that they send a package? All of the information seems to be online.
@centennial13 My financial aid page also changed to say 15 days. I was expecting them to release aid packages on the day of the transfer celebration. Maybe not…
I would assume they do since not everyone has online access, believe it or not. And with the acceptance letter, the same thing. Many others like me, prefer to keep a hard copy of the “official acceptance.”
Looking at UCI’s Twitter page, freshman students received packages. Hope they didn’t forget about us transfers!
@nicknao ohhh you’re completely right! I didn’t even think about how the freshmen got packages. And I would also like to have a hard copy acceptance letter. Maybe they’ll send it with our financial aid packages?
I called over to the Financial Aid office and after a lengthy wait spoke to someone who looked up my file and asked someone working on transfer packages what the ETA was. He told me hopefully by the end of tomorrow meaning by the end of the day May 12th. We will see.
I also received the being reviewed and will be ready within 15 days message. I don’t know what to expect. I want to SIR but I want to see my package before I do. Anyone get a response by calling them for this message? I also received a courtesy message on the main page for important dates and deadlines.
Hey that’s great ! Did they send you an email that you saw first telling you to check a status, or did you just log on and come across it ? Still no word for me
Got mine too! It’s pretty generous So the cost of tuition and fees is the only one we pay up front by September 15 right? And does anyone know how my aid would be affected with my cal grant?
@centennial13 I was confused about that too. I have a cal grant, but it doesn’t show on my financial aid package. Also, on the cal grant website under “UC Irvine” it says “pending” and doesn’t have a dollar amount. Does yours?
@atlashoney yep and pell grant. I’m hoping we can get both the cal grant and UCI grant because that would help immensely. Are you living at home or on campus?
Does anyone know if tuition fees come out of your grants if you qualify for Blue and Gold? Or is the aid separate? I was expecting to get more aid but it turned out to be rather low.
@centennial13 my cal grant still says “pending”, but the UC Irvine grant covers all of my tuition and fees. My partner and I are planning to live in grad housing if our application gets approved (which is unlikely). But we have also been looking at buying property in Orange County, so we might just do that instead.
