Likelihood of merit aid at Scripps?

Hahahaha I didn’t get invited…I’m not surprised considering my GPA tbh. Oh well. There’s no way I can afford Scripps so I guess I will turn my sights elsewhere.

Don’t rule out need based aid if you can’t afford Scrippps. We receive about $33,000 in grants and additional money in loans.

I second revbon’s advice. Don’t rule out Scripps just yet. File your financial aid info and see what happens. We were very pleasantly surprised to learn that D received a nice grant - we thought we’d have to pay full sticker price, but filled out the financial aid paperwork just in case. Scripps is “full need met” - at least run a FAFSA calculator and get an estimate of your potential financial aid.

My EFC is definitely way too high to qualify for any sort of need-based aid – sadly, we’ve been through the same process with my older siblings and seen the same result. I’m in that awkward demographic where they expect you to be able to pay everything even if that’s not true. ):

Sorry, rachelmk. You’re right about that being an awkward place to be in. Even if Scripps doesn’t work out, best of luck with other schools and financial aid.
