? Likely Letter

when did you apply to chapel hill?

Me? I applied online a few days before the Nov. 1st deadline, nothing special.

I sent everything in on Nov 2, I think. They extended the deadline from 1st to 3rd. That's probably why I got one later than most people, I was in a later stack.

i sent everything on the third lol

UNC does defer and reject from EA

$10 says that i got rejected

Please don't say that. Negativity will get you nowhere. Throughout life there will always be people who will tell you that you can't do something; don't be one of them. I understand that you're just trying to keep your expectations down, but I think you should turn it down a notch.

I really wish I could get one of those letters. I've wanted to go to Chapel Hill since I was a little boy. Oh Well, the 31st approaches.

I got the letter too! Dec 23 actually, so im a little behind on this post! maybe we are up for scholarships... i wonder howmany ppl got the letter, cuz i know of 3 ppl from my school, and 2 friends from raleigh, nc.

i hope it has something to do with the honors program!

I never understood why they sent those letters out, I didn't get one last year

unccadet08-
are you in the ROTC unit at UNC?

yep, i'm in afrotc at UNC

unccadet-
are you enjoying ROTC? is your mom or dad in the airforce?

yea, my dad is in the air force. I really like afrotc, its a lot of fun and I've met a lot of people. I also have a rotc scholarship, it pays my tuition, give me $500 for books each year, and i get a non-taxable monthly allowence

do you room with another AFROTC student? can you apply the military science classes
toward your UNC electives?

rotc students are just like every other student at carolina. the only difference is that one day of the week you'd be in uniform. the only cadets that i know that room together do so becuase they request it in the housing application. I'm really like the only rotc cadet on my floor. now for you military science classes question, thats all you can apply those credits for. some rotc course that you take as an upperclassmen can be considered poli sci credits and PWAD credts too, but its pretty much an elective. are you interrested in afrotc at UNC

NROTC (Marine Option )
