Colgate sends form letters saying that everyone's application is great. They send personal, sometiems handwritten notes, to applicants that they have special interest in.

Every acceptance letter from Colgate has a handwritten note from the admissions director, referring to the highlights of that person's application. The admissions director also writes personal notes on other communications throughout the year - it's a really nice touch.

Right, but I'm not tlakign about the 1 sentences lines that are hand written into everyone's form letters. I'm tlakign about letters that are entirely hand written.

This is a silly conversation. The handwritten notes I am referring to are not 1 sentence. These notes are several paragraphs, believe it or not. Colgate does an excellent job of personalizing the application process.

Yes, I know what you're talking about. I'm just trying to make it clear that they do send 'likely letters'. They send letters that mention to certain applicants that their admission is highly likely, that they should consider visiting the campus again, and that they could be a great addition to Colgate's community. That's what I remember readign in my friend's.

I never recieved a letter that was entirely handwritten from Colgate, however I did receive the Alumni Memorial Scholarship, so apparently they did want me.
