I am Computer Science.

is com sci in the engineering school or in arts & science like at berkeley?

It's in the engineering school.

i was right about the decisoin date! i got in!!!

i'm in for eecs yay!

In for ChemE, without receiving the letter and email!!

~~~~ Reviving this old Thread ~~~~~~~~
I gather that the HSSEAS looks at mainly science and math grades
so with only my science and math grades my weighted 10-11 gpa is 4.28
major : chemE
Math SAT I = 730
Subject Tests : Math 2 : 780
Chem : 770
Physics : 720
AP
Chem = Physics B = Calc AB = all 5s
so how is my chance at UCLA for eng ?
It may sound ironic, but the acceptance rate for the HSSEAS for some majors (~25-30% for MAE) is even higher than the general UCLA acceptance rate (I think low 20s by now?).
Where can I find this information, BoelterHall?
You'd be surprised. (Page 5/11)
Nearly half of the applicants for Electrical Engineering are accepted, but whether they matriculate is a different story. Aerospace, CSE, Civil, and CS have the lowest admission rates. On the other hand, Materials was 62% this year.
LOL, what can I say, us EEs are just that good :)
eric90, does my profile look good?
@amby262roy: hmm, my grades were similar, and i got in. but i think they look at more than just grades. i'm pretty sure extracurricular activities and the essays play quite a significant part.
When should we expect the email (if we got in)?
march 6th or before or after?
Crap, I didn't get one.
UCLA isn't my top choice, it's my third. But I'd still like to be accepted...
lemon lime rush, this thread is from last year, they most likely haven't gone out for this year yet
sorry lemon lime rush, ya this is from last year.
not looking good if you can't even get into your 3rd option :D jk i didn't get into my 3rd option (UCSD) but got into my top 2 :D
kick53rv3, how do i look?
Haha, oh wow. I think I officially entered freaking out mode.
Well, good to know I haven't been rejected yet. :)
