Likely Letter?

Suppose I get two C's in Senior year... for AP Physics and AP Macroeconomics... how will it hurt my chances?

^As long as you have 3.0 uw GPA then you are ok. They don't see Senior year grades anyway unless you are borderline.

OK, well, I gotta reset my priorities or else I might get rescinded lol...
Also, I'm taking 5 APs this year, but I'm not going to take any of the exams... I guess that's not gonna get me rescinded right?

no... senior year APs don't have bearing on admission. but check to make sure if your APs might get you out of any requirements (especially calculus, because if you do well enough you can skip ahead a math course here). not sure how it works for engineering, but you shouldn't categorically decide "no APs" especially if they can help boost your entering unit count and therefore class standing and therefore enrollment times, which is crucial for engineers cuz you guys have no priority!

^^^ Is it only 3.0UW? I thought you couldn't get more than X number of C's?

Thats what it says on the official provisional contract, that you should contact them should you get 3 Cs in one semester. However, the stance is still a 3.0 UW overall. Just don't push it and you'll be OK.

Oh wow, that much leeway? Are you sure it's 3 Cs per semester and not 3 Cs the whole year?

^As I said before, I had 3 Cs senior year and they said that it was 3.0 UW when I emailed them.

Sweet. ~10char

so how formal is this event? suits, tux, cowboy shirts?

tshirt and jeans will do i believe...

ok cool thnx kick

Actually, kick53rv3 goes here. I guess he never changed his location.

oh lol yeah I never changed my location, that was the location i signed up under last year after I got into UCLA

So my friend and I both got this e-mail. What's really strange is that not only are we OOS, and from the same state (TX), but we go to the same school, applying with the same major. Is this an atypical situation (because of the fact that UCLA is a public school that takes little students from OOS)? Or maybe they mis-emailed the letter to me T_T Ha Ha

whats weird about that? its not like they pick only 1 from each school

Why would you be asking if your admission is a mistake? You should be happy. : P

Any Computer Science majors receive this email?

Yup. I got this email/mail and I'm a comp sci major.

aerospace yeah!
