Likely letters are coming in!

How much of this Dimensions weekend do you have to pay for?

It is just going to be a small amount of money possibly for transportation depending upon how you are traveling (which is discounted through the college). we live in NYC, so D went up on the bus with the tri-state area people, had a wonderful time and is still friends with her "bus mates". If the money is going to be an issue you can always contact them because they are some of the nicest people you will ever meet.

anyone from california get a likely letter???

hm...it seems that all of the likely letters so far are people with pretty high SAT/SAT2s. in case no one noticed, i thought i better state the obvious...

slicmlic, got one here in The OC. Good luck to you.

BTW: 1600, 2350, 3.9

w00t!

1550, 2390

Pretty good hooks, but below-average grades (~3.8).

No interview yet, so they can't count for much!

soo....anybody know what percent of acceptees were sent early letters last year? this is really depressing....
so many people from CC have been accepted already that i feel like to adjust to the actual 12% acceptance rate, a lot of the rest of us are going to be rejected....im so pessimistic....sorry.
but congrats to all of you!! :) i envy each and every single one of you. but you all deserved it, so yay for all of y'all!

I got one too :). I wasn't expecting it at all... I'm not recruited nor an URM. See my prsta.ts link for stats (in profile).

OMG I want a likely letter so bad, but I know I'm not getting one. :(

Can everyone who has received a likely letter please post their location, too?

Just a sidenote- does getting a likely letter mean that you are definitely in?

newt, you got in yale ea and you werent expecting an early letter? you greedy fool give me one of those acceptances.....please......maybe......

LOL kosuke.

But seriously newt, share the wealth. ;) ... BTW, which would (will) you choose? Yale or Dartmouth?

Congrats guys! I'm already in, but I'll be at Dimensions too! It's really for RD, but I don't care, I'm going. Can't wait to see y'all. And, ED didn't get likely letters so far as I know, so just cause you didn't get one doesn't mean you didn't get in.

i got a likely letter today

cincinnati, OH

1550 SAT, 36 ACT, 2390 SAT IIs, valedictorian

i never got a interview, so maybe they don't even release the names to alumni of the people they send likely letters to?

congradulations to all who have gotten it, and good luck to all who wait!

Wow, I'm totally floored.

4.0, 1550 (1520 until January scores were released), 800 Math II, 800 Physics, 800 Writing.

Joey

I would say that the people receiving "likely letters" (actually the letter says you "will be offered admissions"-- no "likely" about it), are people who did not need any boost from mid-year grades or SAT scores.

Woo i got one, and it compelled me to post here for the first time!
Location: Delaware

...if only yale and princeton would be so generous with their likely letters :p

I just got a letter and I completely forget I had applied to Dartmouth.

Congrats to everyone who got likelies, you guys must be amazing people :)

Newt will obviously choose Yale over Dartmouth :P

Can the people who got likely letters say where they are from?

Southern California, 1600, 2350, 3.9 I'm lovin' it. Good luck to all.
