<p>I was wondering how I would link my Common App account and Naviance account. After some Google, and trying various things on each account, I cannot seem to find out how to link the accounts, any assistance is greatly appreciated.</p>

<p>In our school the students were told specifically not to use the common app for references. all references and transcripts requests were handle through Naviance so there was never any need to link them, and you could kinda screw things up by doing so unless this is the way your school handles it. Check with your school’s guidance department.</p>

OK, so I was trying to so the same thing on my common app, and it said to contact the counselor. So I made an appointment with my counselor, and we tried to figure out how to link my account. We went to troubleshooting on Naviance and it said my counselor had to enable the link for the common app for me in the settings. My counselor tried that. It did not work. We were getting pretty exasperated because we had spent the last 20 minutes trying to figure out how to link the common app and naiviance. Finally, my counselor looked up the Naviance support service phone number and called. She talked to a Naviance support person that told us why we could not link the common app and naviance. Since the Common App (and Naviance I think) was updated this year, the link between the two is not up yet. The link between the two should be up by the end of the month so you can easily manage your recommendations, transcripts, test scores, etc. So keep on waiting and checking out your Naviance account to see when the link will show up. Thank you for that explanation. Assigning Recommenders is much source of confusion and frustration here. I think my son is in same situation and his guidance dept is trying to figure it out as well. It is very disappointing that Common App does not have their link with Naviance ready by now.<br>
So the next question…what does this mean as far as being able to submit the Common App? Do students have to wait for the Naviance link to be up in order to submit? (strangely, after he signed the FERPA waiver on Common App, a green check came up next to the Recommender tab)</p>

<p>Is anyone still having this problem? I can’t get my accounts to link either and it’s October, so I’d hope they’d have fixed it by now…</p>
<p>I was able to send common app and of course pay but my teachers cant submit letters of rec. I have given up and have asked them to email them directly to the school and to also mail a copy of the letter of rec.</p>
<p>We have same problem as bigbooklover. one of our colleges said to submit paper for recos and transcripts. waiting to hear from the other colleges. SIGH</p>
