list of colleges i should actually be looking at

I am trying to get help creating an initial college list. I am trying to figure out what colleges I should actually be looking at given my criteria below, to get the best education and have the best potential when graduating to get into a good graduate school or maybe law school.

I am currently enrolled at a community college with a cum GPA 3.72.
I am double majored in Business Administration and Enginerring Science.
I will complete both a.s. degrees before transferring.
High school shouldnt matter much at this point, but I had a 3.5 GPA and 1080 SATs. However dont know how long SATs are good for, took them 4.5 years ago now.
I was a captain of my high school soccer team for two years and a captain of the soccer team at my community college.
Assistant coach of community college soccer team for one year.
Not a lot more ECs besides that, had to work to put myself through college. 35-45 hours a week. Including 3 internships at a machine shop under and engineer.
Competition for robotics car through college.

I am looking to go into mechanical engineering for a 4 year degree and would like to either go to graduate school for ME or go to law school for Patent Law(IP) after that.
Would like to find a college in upstate New York, but not a must.
Am broke as mentioned earlier so I would like a school that is on the lower end of tuition or has a high percentage for financial aid to students.

Any suggestions would help.

Maybe Syracuse or St. Lawrence? Not sure about the financial aid situation though…

As a transfer you are at a disadvantage for any merit aid. You will (at least) qualify for federal aid if you fill out a FAFSA. For NY I would look at the SUNYs. Albany and Oswego have business degrees. I hope you’re in-state for NY to keep the costs down. Otherwise you should probably look at your own state schools.

ok thank you for your insight. i am a ny resident
