So basically title says it all. A list of colleges in the US that are race blind, mainly and preferably in the northeast region. Thanks!
Also, I’m not expecting anyone to write a whole list on their own, so I guess the title may be a little misleading, but not really. So if you only know one school still post it. If you have a whole list that would greatly appreciated too. Basically your help will help me and others so please post race blind colleges, if you know of any
The UC schools in California
Thanks! Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated
The diversity at a race blind school is almost always awful. Ucla and Berkeley are both race blind schools. They are 40% and 43% Asian respectively. The rest, I’m assuming, are white and maybe a few Latinos.
Well since you said almost means there is a chance not all raceblind schools are not diverse. I appreciate your concern, but I just want options of race blind schools and I’ll deal with it from there. Thanks for the advice and help though, I really appreciate it.
All open admission schools, such as community colleges.
All California and Florida public schools.
Or you can search the admissions tabs for various schools on http://www.collegedata.com to see which list ethnicity as “not considered”.
Thanks
Texas colleges - they admit in-state based on rank. 75% students at UT (Austin) are from the top 7% of their high school class, then there are the academic admits, then athletes/legacies/hooked applicants. Consequently, it’s very very hard to get into any of the “good” public universities from OOS if you’re not a superstar at something.
Most state schools are forbidden from considering race. Privates are often not race-blind

You shouldn’t assume.
At UCLA…there are NOT a “few Latinos”…20% of the school is Latino. that’s a very good number. There are 30% Asian and 28% White and 3% Black…the rest are int’ls, multi-race, non-declared, etc.
I don’t know where Indians are counted…I think some are counted as Asian.
I wouldn’t say that “diversity is awful”. There is diversity. The numbers may not “look like America,” but it’s not like going to a lily white school. And the concept of diversity shouldn’t just be by race…there should be income diversity, because simply going to a school where a mixed-ethnicity group can all pay isn’t going to give you a real taste of America, either.
It’s hard for any school to have perfect or near-perfect diversity without being contrived.
Caltech.
Michigan state schools?
Thanks everyone!
