Living at MacDonald Campus

I have been accepted into both food science and nutrition at MacDonald campus. I have an important question:

Does Mac offer every required course, both within the major, department, and general ed?
If not, how manageable is the commute from Mac to Downtown when having to take courses in both campuses?

In addition, how difficult are the majors at Mac? Don't get me wrong, I'm completely willing to put in all the effort and give up social time.

Thank you!

How is the social scene? Is it true that there arent many parties/ people dont go out that much?

I don’t go to Mac campus, so I can’t tell you everything. What I know:
-there’s a free shuttle bus that goes from downtown campus (right outside the Roddick Gates on Sherbrooke) to Mac campus at the beginning and end of class hours (possibly more often). It’s a half hour drive I think.
-Mac campus is beautiful, but it’s in a town in Quebec. It’s rural with an entirely different vibe from downtown campus. People often go on field trips to go apple-picking on Mac campus; it’s that kind of place. It’s also much more conservative/oppressive because of the city vs. country thing; there have been incidences of racism and homophobia, even harassment and physical attacks, on Mac campus (apparently not from other McGill students). If you’re not a white cis straight person, you might not feel totally accepted there.
-Mac campus has its own campus bar, but it’s definitely a bit of a dead scene. People often commute there for classes and commute back, so there isn’t much of a student life considering most students do not live there.
