MacDonald Campus vs. Downtown Campus

Hi!

I want to do my B.Sc in Dietetics...but the School of Dietetics is outside the "McGill Bubble"

Should I just live on the downtown campus then metro/subway/taxi/shuttle bus to the MacDonald campus or should I just live my first year on the campus...

I am a total city girl and I've lived in the suburbs before, but I realized I really disliked it, so I don't know what to do... Is it worth the hassle of living downtown?? I CANNOT stand rural/suburban places...

Hows the social life of Laird Hall/EcoRez vs Douglas/Molson/RCV?
Because I think making friends/socializing should be a priority for me in first year because I want to live with people that I know/turned into friends with in Second-Fourth year

The MacDonald campus is out on the very western part of the Island and nowhere near downtown Montreal. Commuting from there by public transit or shuttle on a daily basis would be a nightmare, in my opinion.
