Does anyone have any experience living off campus? If so, any recommendations? I'm coming in as a transfer student, and getting an apartment is much cheaper....

I know the obvious disadvantage is that I won't be in as strong of a community, but I'm planning on joining clubs, forming study groups, etc.

Do you have any roommates lined up? If not, a lot of guys head for Stadium Club. The apartments at Eddie ST commons are a little bit more expensive, but they are really nice. If you can pull together multiple roommates, Lafayette apartments are pretty cheap and always a good time. PM if you want more info. I live at Laf.

Hey thanks a lot! I’ve been looking at Clover Ridge and Runaway Bay, heard of them?

I’ll be living in a one bedroom, I think on my own. Compared to the pricing in Southern Cali, these prices are amazing haha.

Daughter just moved in to Clover Village (used to be Turtle Creek for those that remember!). Having been at school there over 25 years ago, I was a little concerned, but was pleasantly surprised at how nice it is! It is literally across the street from campus, so that is a huge plus! She is in a two bedroom townhouse with loads of room~can’t believe it really. It was newly painted with brand new carpet. Also has a brand new clubhouse with pool, hot tub, tanning beds, game room, work out center and meeting room. It’s nice! I’m actually excited for her when I thought I would never want her to move off campus!

Irishcali, by any chance is your daughter from cali? Haha, I’m from California.

I just sent in my rental application for Clover Village…I’ve heard great things from everyone I’ve asked about it so far, and so I’m very excited. Why did she move in so early?
