Has anyone tried emailing transfer@lmu.com and if so did you get any actual personalized information about your app? At this point, I’ve emailed once, called three times and fb messaged them and I’m worried I’m gonna annoy them if I do anything else lol
UPDATE: was admitted today!! I’m a lion!
@Arod101 what are your stats if you don’t mind me asking? Congrats!
Hi! I wonder if anyone know i can still get accept even I past due the application date for couple hours?
My application status still says “under review” it worries me a lot
@Arod101 Congrats on your acceptance! That must be exciting! How did you get the news? by e-mail, mypaw, or just by postal mail?
Still haven’t heard anything! Getting increasingly nervous haha
Me either! But neither have my other friends. I’m sure we’ll all here by this week or next week. Hopefully.
Hi everyone! Thank you so much. Regarding how I initially found out I was accepted, I was notified through mypaw. My status was changed to “admitted,” and then the following day, I received an email welcoming me to the university.
Here are my stats:
Major: Psychology
GPA: 3.4
EC’s: Vice President of Student Government, President of 2 clubs, member of psi beta psychology honor society, member of Gamma beta phi honor society, ministry leader for my church, founded 3 clubs, and founder of 2 mental health programs on my campus
Letters of recommendation: I did receive a stellar letter of rec. from my school’s chancellor, and two from my professors
Essays: I thought I wrote reasonably decent essays pertaining to my personal obstacles regarding my mothers drug addiction, and my search for a new home.
I wish you all the best of luck, and I hope i’ll be seeing some of you around campus!
Just got a facebook message back from LMU saying that my name has been sent to their transfer enrollment services department and that they’ll be in contact with me soon regarding my application. Looks like contacting them through facebook seems to be the best method.
It seems like they said that to some people and not others. That’s what I wanted them to say when I messaged them but all they said was that I would get a decision soon. Do you guys think that means anything, like they might say to accepted people that they would send their name to transfer enrollment but they wouldn’t say that to people who are denied/going to be denied?
@ctehin No, I wouldn’t think anything of it. I just received an email from the Assistant Director of Admissions and all she said was that I would have a response very soon. Same response, just from a different person. If anything they’re doing it to try and show that they’re making some sort of effort to get back to you.
@Arod101 your stats are impressive! Congratulations on your acceptance, I’m a psychology major as well but still haven’t heard back. Are you transferring from in state or out of state?
Does LMU prioritize in state people or is that just the public schools?
Now my admission status says incomplete and apparently they didn’t receive my college transcripts even though the other day it said received. This is the most frustrating admissions process I’ve ever had to go through.
@ctehin considering that LMU is a private school, I don’t think there is any prioritization when admitting students.
really hoping for a decision today
@cranberries21 I’m transferring from in state.
Did you guys apply to any other uni’s in California?
@vandiaiba they probably want an updated transcript from when you finish this semester! That’s what they told me, but I don’t know if it’s the same situation :((
Anyone else get decisions? I was admitted 2 weeks ago and am still waiting to hear from USC to figure out whether or not I can give LMU a commitment deposit. Just curious if anyone else has heard back!
