Longhorn for a Day?

Son was invited to “Longhorn for a Day” and quickly RSVP’d, which was acknowledged. The acknowledgment said that he would be contacted by November 8 “if you are selected to attend.” That was more than two weeks ago. The event begins next Friday, and he has not been contacted one way or the other. I infer that means he wasn’t “selected,” but either way it seems odd and rude that they wouldn’t follow up at all.

Anyone with a similar experience?

Have you followed up or called the admissions office about it?

Heard back this afternoon with a thumbs-up. Evidently they had not gotten back to anybody until this afternoon. What made it dicey is that for kids under 18, which I’m sure is most, a parent is required to attend, which means time off, etc.
No idea what the delay was.

Happy to hear that! I can only imagine how swapped those staff members are with it being so close to their final deadline. The event will be a good one so despite the annoyance of having to make last minute plans for take off, it’ll be worth your time! Have fun.
