Looking for a large school with Division II or III Football

so in high school i felt like a missed out on football only because of a prolonged injury i had throughout that kept me from playing. So now the disability is gone and im back in shape, just in time for my senior year football season to have started without me on the team. Yes!~

so i wanted to know of a good, large (15,000+ people), and prestigous university that a person with 3.5 gpa and 1190 SAT (verbal+math) could realistically attend and walk onto the team. im in perfect shape NOW (and i have a year to prepare) and i know everything about football from routes to terms, but i just never played in high school. any suggestions?

try a collegeboard.com search. put in your sat scores, size very large, and football div. II, then div III and see everything that comes up both times.

i didnt really like any of the schools that came up. they both were unappealing to me in the academics department. should i look at division I-AA or even division I's? there has to be a school id like with a good football program out there...

Well there are some schools were you could basically walk on to the football team, schools like Florida International and Florida Atlantic ring a bell, or stetson. All three are di-1

Here’s the Sports Network’s preseason top 25 Division I-AA poll:

http://www.sportsnetwork.com/default.asp?c=sportsnetwork&page=cfoot2/misc/tsn-div-1aa-poll.htm

You may find it helpful in your search.

In addition, provided below are a couple of good Division I-AA football websites.

http://www.i-aa.org/

Good luck.

Trying to walk on at a D I football school after not playing HS football is not a great idea. Aside from the serious injury potential, even the walk-ons at these schools were outstanding HS players. Even walking on at a DIII school is a reach.

I'd say walking on at some D-III school you may get second-string.

I'll give you the largest I can give you, which are pretty nice and big.

Tufts football could take some walk-ons, they'd take anyone that could improve their game. Not usre if your stats could get you into Tufts though.

Also, try Northeastern football...

Don't count on getting onto the FAU team unless you have some real talent.
