hey everyone,
I know a lot of people at BC are big into partying and drinking…and I also have looked into the healthy alternatives dorm (which doesnt allow alcohol)- but I think that’s too far in the other extreme. I’m trying to find a roommate who likes to have a good time but isn’t too big into the party scene and doesn’t plan on drinking all the time. anyone out there feel the same way?

Just go random so you don’t blame yourself if your roommate turns out to be a wacko. Four years of being in a dorm and I have given up trying to be friends with my roommates.

The Healthy Alternatives Dorm is actually very popular. I was rejected admission to it this year as a freshman. I would recommend it, but if not just go random as was mentioned.

I know exactly what you’re talking about, because I am basically that person. I am definitely not a party animal, but Yes I do enjoy a wild time here and there. I too have worried whether there will be people in the middle like myself at BC.

I completely agree with lullinatalk. Just go random, because even if it seems you have stuff in common with someone you meet online, that does not mean you will actually be good roommates. There’s more pressure to like each other if you choose the person online. You don’t have to be friends with your roommate, you just need to get along. That doesn’t mean you won’t become friends with a random roommate; you most likely will.
