Looking for a summer program

Hey guys. I need help looking for a summer program.

I am planning really early. I want to apply to some summer programs for next summer and want to start a list now. I will be have completed my sophomore year next summer. This past year, I was accepted into a biotechnology program in Boston with an $1000 scholarship but unfortunately I couldn't afford the other portion of the tuition, so I am stuck taking online classes this summer.

So I need a program that is pretty cheap (less than $1000) or one that offers generous financial aid. I have been looking around and it seems that if you aren't really rich or extremely smart, you will have a hard time getting into a decent academic summer program.

My interests are in Biology, Medicine, and Environmental Science. I also have an interest in Engineering and Math.

Does anyone have any recommendations for programs to look into? I don't want an extremely competitive program, but I don't want a program where everyone is accepted. I have been looking into internship programs but haven't found any that fit the criteria above.

Thank you. All comments are appreciated.

The only programs I know of that fit your interests ARE competitive (SSP, HSHSP, YESS, MITES, RSI), but I still think you should look into these with an open mind. I’ve also heard of programs for Math (don’t know much about them; I’m not a math person) like MOSP and PROMYS. If none of these interest you, you could always try doing some research next summer.

Bump. Any more suggestions?
