Looking for advice...Uconn Stamford..Sourthern?

Hi there,

I am currently attending a community college in Boston and I am looking to transfer to a 4 year school in my home state of Connecticut for the fall. I applied to Southern and Uconn, and I recently heard back from Uconn that I was accepted into their Storrs campus. I am still waiting to hear back from Southern.

I am very interested in Uconn because of their reputation, but I am also interested in Southern because I am a psychology major and Southern offers an undergraduate psych program that involves a mental health field practicum. This will be very helpful for when I apply to PhD programs after I receive my bachelor's degree. I can't seem to find anything on Uconn's website about whether or not they offer a similar program to Southern, and I sent an email and still have not heard back.

I was also wondering if anyone knows anything about the Uconn satellite locations, specifically the Stamford location? I am a little bit older than the typical college student (25) and I think I would feel more comfortable in a smaller school setting where most of the students commute and have jobs, etc. I also am coming back to Connecticut after living in Boston for 5 years, and I am looking for an area to attend school that has a bit more "liveliness" to it than Storrs. My only concern with Stamford location would be whether or not it has the same psychology programs as the Storrs location and all the same classes are offered. Also, does anyone know if you can even transfer your acceptance from one location to another?

I guess I am just sort of stuck at this point. Any input anyone can offer or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much for your time.

In my opinion you should just go to UConn Storrs, it has the best reputation and I personally would not even compare it to Southern. Any UConn satelite campus will not be as good as Storrs.
