Looking For The Perfect Boot!

I’ve probably started a similar thread before. Clearly I haven’t found the perfect boot yet.

Looking for casual boot to wear with tights/skirts/dresses (athleisure type wear - think Athleta). Ankle or slightly higher. Heel up to 1.5 inches or so. No higher heel, no tall boots! Something pretty cushy for a heel/sole. A little insulation is fine/good. But not a snow shoveling boot.

I’m 62, but….not. I have been looking at some Sorel boots. I’d do pull on (or side zip) or a gentle lace up.

Budget is $150 or less. Won’t exceed that. Tend to like a tan or brown or grey to go with a lot. Would look at black but eh.

Have you found a good casual wear boot???

This doesn’t mean your list of requirements, but I have been living in these since September and get tons of compliments on them; https://www.saksoff5th.com/product/circus-by-sam-edelman-darielle-faux-leather-chelsea-boots-0400015028044.html?site_refer=CSE_GGLPLA:Womens_Shoes:Circus+by+Sam+Edelman&country=US&currency=USD&CSE_CID=G_Off+5th_PLA_SSC_Women's+Shoes:Women's+Shoes&gclid=CjwKCAiAzrWOBhBjEiwAq85QZ1B3aw5Kipr7GwO0XSnxcIKXzvnAhRoTAzO8evTA_MajOVoM92jS2xoC7UgQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

Look at Blondo waterproof boots (many styles available) — a Canadian company, I think.

Or these?
No results for Ryka charmer | Zappos.com
Or are you looking for something less casual?

Funny you said that - I’ve had these on my Amazon Wish List for awhile….

I haven’t worn these boots before, but they look nice if this is what you are looking for.

The first of those is too “snow boot” - wouldn’t want Sherpa on the outside. I’ll be wearing these at work in an academic/health care setting where I do move around a lot - casual is fine but won’t be trudging through snow. No “suede” .

I also would suggest looking at Blondo boots. Nordstrom has a great selection and some of them are on sale now. I own two pairs of them and wear them all winter. Their “Sawyer” bootie sounds like exactly what you’re looking for.

I like these and actually love the color but my size not available.

Will be fun to see what your idea of a “perfect” casual but not snow boot is!

Blondo seems to change up their styles frequently. You might keep checking back at their new arrivals if you don’t see the size/style you want at first.

One more vote for Blondo. Very well made and pretty much all of them are waterproof. Check 6pm - there are many options. Sizing could be limited though. Like these:

I like cole Haan short boots. I have water proofed ones, a bit dressier with higher heels, etc. They are not expensive. Can be dressed up and down.

I adore these, cute, waterproof, comfortable:

I just bought these Blondo boots today, so comfortable and cute: https://www.nordstrom.com/s/blondo-dagger-waterproof-boot-women/6671318?origin=category-personalizedsort&breadcrumb=Home%2FBrands%2FBlondo&color=005

I also have a pair of Cole Haan that are brown and very versatile

I own both pairs and basically live in those, as they are comfy and stylish:

I have an older version of Emelie, I don’t think they sell those now, but Emelie II are very similar.

I can’t do the heavy chunky boots. I know they are stylish and in fact I bought my DIL the Dr. Martens - but it’s not for me.

Based on so many Blondo recommendations I did buy the olive green pair I have tried on before at N Rack and loved. But I’m still in the market for another pair - either a brown/tan or grey perhaps - so keep your suggestions coming! Also just fun to see what people like!

I also got these, they are comfy but haven’t worn them enough to review. They are really cute though.
