I’ve probably started a similar thread before. Clearly I haven’t found the perfect boot yet.
Looking for casual boot to wear with tights/skirts/dresses (athleisure type wear - think Athleta). Ankle or slightly higher. Heel up to 1.5 inches or so. No higher heel, no tall boots! Something pretty cushy for a heel/sole. A little insulation is fine/good. But not a snow shoveling boot.
I’m 62, but….not. I have been looking at some Sorel boots. I’d do pull on (or side zip) or a gentle lace up.
Budget is $150 or less. Won’t exceed that. Tend to like a tan or brown or grey to go with a lot. Would look at black but eh.
The first of those is too “snow boot” - wouldn’t want Sherpa on the outside. I’ll be wearing these at work in an academic/health care setting where I do move around a lot - casual is fine but won’t be trudging through snow. No “suede” .
I also would suggest looking at Blondo boots. Nordstrom has a great selection and some of them are on sale now. I own two pairs of them and wear them all winter. Their “Sawyer” bootie sounds like exactly what you’re looking for.
Blondo seems to change up their styles frequently. You might keep checking back at their new arrivals if you don’t see the size/style you want at first.
One more vote for Blondo. Very well made and pretty much all of them are waterproof. Check 6pm - there are many options. Sizing could be limited though. Like these:
I can’t do the heavy chunky boots. I know they are stylish and in fact I bought my DIL the Dr. Martens - but it’s not for me.
Based on so many Blondo recommendations I did buy the olive green pair I have tried on before at N Rack and loved. But I’m still in the market for another pair - either a brown/tan or grey perhaps - so keep your suggestions coming! Also just fun to see what people like!
