lothrop hall pitt

i am a transfer male sophomore assigned to lothrop hall. are there a lot of upperclassman in lothrop

Lothrop is mostly sophomores.

is it an okay dorm

get ready to here a lot of helicopters

FYI prospective students-- most Pitt students have better grammar than what you will see on this board.

Jimmy, so glad to hear that!

Haha maybe so, but at least a tool with a third grade education.

We all enjoy your enlightening responses, surfer.

Yes, many sophomores, but the helicopters going to and from the Children's Hospital nearby will drive you crazy for the first couple of months...

I was there for the pittstart and it was like constant helicopters by Tower A it was crazy.....imagine the people at Lothrop

Believe it or not, you don't really notice them much after a while.

Regarding the helicopter traffic in the Oakland area - Children's Hospital is relocating within the next few months to Bloomfield (about two miles to the north) which should reduce some of aerial traffic.

so what r they gonna do with the childrens hospital

The old Children's Hospital building will become an expansion of the existing UPMC-Presby hospital and more office space for UPMC.

They've put like $650 million into it, it's gonna be crazy.

Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh - New Hospital Campus

US News just published their issue on Children's Hospitals and UPMC Children's did very well in the rankings.
