Lot's of B+s?

I know UC doesn't distinguish the difference between +,-'s but my sophomore year I got 4 B+'s in honors classes =( Would they look at it strictly as if it were 4 Bs or are they more lenient and would still take note of it? My jr. Year UC GPA is a 4.8 btw and Sophomore 3.6 i think (Sophomores only get 2 honors classes weighted right?)

they wont see your + and -'s until after they see your transcript-which they will unfortunately see after youve been accepted…so yes most likeley they will be looked at as Bs…but if i were you i would write a note at the end of the app explaining why this happened…high level of class/other work commitements/etc so they will take into sccount

also just as a side chance me would a 4.8 UC GPA Jr Year offset my bad sophomore year UC GPA? I mean my sophomore year gpa is fine for any other decent schools, its just their dumb GPA policy that makes it seem so low…

yeah it would…they especially like upward trends…write good essays, be thorough in your app, send in all your SAT/ACT scores on time and you will be fine

hope you have good everything else too ahah. Essay is key! Also major

Numbers matter most. :-)

i have 2300 sats awesome counc rec and good teacher recs my essay is pretty good too but only thing lacking is ECs i guess? I only have 2 majors ones that I spend huge amounts of time on but public schools don’t care about as much from what I’ve heard. My Jr. GPA is actually very high like its around what kids that get into HYP get. Also nobody from my school has actually gone to UCB. One or two are accepted out of the 15~ that apply so will that be a problem?
