Low ACT essay score but near perfect SAT essay?

<p>if someone takes both the ACT and SAT and gets a perfect score on the SAT essay but a 7 or 8 on the ACT essay...wil colleges just look at the better one??</p>

<p>also....i keep taking practice essays for the ACT essay and always get a 7 or an 8 but for a real SAT i got a 11/12....if a school accepts both the ACT and SAT with essay required,,do i still have to take the ACT writing if i already took the SAT writing??</p>

<p>thanks (P.S. if ur wondering how i always get a near perfect or perfect score on my SAT essay but not ACT is because i use two books all the time for the SAT and it would be hard to use books for the ACT essay)</p>

<p>If your overall SAT score is better, then only send in your SAT marks. Most schools require you to take the writing section on the ACT, and when you send in your scores, they will inevitably look at your essay score.</p>

<p>which one is easier to do? sat or act essay? i got a 9 on my sat essay when i thought i would’ve got a 6 or 7…</p>
