low GPA, heavy course load, great ECs... is there hope?

I'm applying ED to CAS.
my GPA's a little low. I broke both the 1400 and 2000 barriers on my SAT, and I'm taking SAT IIs in october.

I'm taking the hardest courses available at my private school. (two advanced maths, AP Calc and Adv. Stats, AP Lit, etc. etc.)

I also have been told that I have some of the most exceptional ECs, ever.

I'm not putting all detailed information on here because I'm not looking for my "chances."

I'm wondering if anyone's been in a similar situation, and gotten in?
I suppose I'm looking for a little hope. ;-)

You just never know. Are you URM and a NYS resident?
If so there is the Opportunities Program.
ED might the way to go if you don't mind the FA package they will offer.
You need to take SAT's and have an awesome and compelling essay.
Good luck.

I'm neither of those, haha I'm a white girl.
I'll be applying for financial aid, but I have means to cover whatever they don't pay for, there's no question that i'm applying early.

Also, my GPA isn't THAT low (I've never made a 'C' in a class), it's about a 4.0 weighted, but unweighted it's in the 87-88 range, i'm not sure exactly what that is, maybe a 3.2 to a 3.5? I honestly don't know.

my essay is, I think, a very interesting one.
I'd be willing to bet admission that no one tells a similar story. That being said, I don't know if that makes it "good"

But, I suppose what I'm really asking here is if anyone on here has gotten in because NYU is "holistic"?
