3.5 uw gpa/3.7 w (Georgia Tech only considers the weighted)
33 ACT
5 AP's so far, 3 more senior year
OK EC's, mostly swimming and some volunteer experience

I’m from the midwest, which is a very underrepresented area at Tech. I know Tech loves geographic diversity. Will this help me?

Not necessarily. Any awards? What is your class rank? Is your school competitive?

Are you going into engineering? If you are over 500 miles away it is considered favorable in some way.

School isn’t competitive. I have won a few local and state awards in math and french but nothing terribly impressive or on the national level. I live in North Dakota and I’m over 1,000 miles away.

Oh yeah and Georgia Tech only looks at weighted GPA; no class rank or unweighted

What were your AP scores? If you got 4’s and 5’s and you sent them in they will help.

I did send them in. Straight 4’s except for a 5 in AP calc

anyone?

I think you have a good shot. Your ec’s aren’t all that great because nothing really sticks out. Also, Georgia Tech loves a high GPA. But, your test scores are nice. I’d say it’s 50/50.
