Low SAT II Scores in Context

GPA: 3.87 UW, 4.38 W
SAT I: 1950 (660CR, 660M, 630W)
SATII: 600 MIIC, 600 Lit, 530 US

*This isn't like a 'chances' thread, so I'm not going to make a list of all of my ECs and whatnot, but assume that everything else about my application is better than decent (though not fantastically outstanding).

I'm applying to: UC Berkeley (L&S), UC Irvine, NYU, Fordham + some state schools.

Now I'm wondering, how do you guys think my low SAT II scores are going to affect me. I just got back from re-taking Math IIC, but i'm fairly certain that if I scored any higher, it wasn't by much. I've heard different things about the Subject tests.. Some are saying that they are of equal weight to my other stats, and some are saying they aren't quite as heavily weighted.

I'm really worried that my SAT II scores are going to break my application because my percentile are disgustingly low (52%Lit, 33%MIIC, 28%US). And now, I have no more chances to raise them. =*(

I am by no means an expert on this subject, but from what I've heard, you shouldn't even be taking an SAT II unless your sure you can get at least a 600, and at least a 700 for competitive schools. I think your Us history one is definitely going to appear as a negative. I'm not sure what the policies of those schools are, but hopefully they only look at your highest score (even then its not extremely strong).

See the thing is, the UC's require 2 subject tests in two different subjects. I know that they take the two highest scores, but the existence of that 530 is killing my confidence (and the two 600s aren't even anything to be proud of). This probably isn't a viable excuse, but I took all three tests in one sitting, and US was the third test I took.
