Loyola chicago or uiuc (international studies)

Ok guys,
This whole issue of transferring is not letting me sleep, so i decided to create this detailed question. I will thank you a million times if you can help me have a better understanding our both institutions and their potential. Im a international studies major at loyola, but one of my dreams was to belong to a good, reasonable affordable, a well known school like uiuc. This past semester i applied and i got in for the fall 2011. At this point of my college experience, i have to say that loyola has disappointed me. They brag about having diversity and exposing its students to the real world, but i believe that they don't do a good job. So, i dont really like loyola itself, but i like the city. However, having the chance to spend next two years of my life in one of the best public universities of the country makes me consider my option and go for it. I will be 22 next semester, and im not really sure how the whole town experience will be for me at my age. I will want to know if anyone know something about the Global Studies program at uiuc? Also, do you guys think that its a smart decision to transfer ,as far as the academic , job, graduate school opportunities i might have later on? one more question: will uiuc increase my chances of getting into law school?

I appreciate any good advice or information you guys can give me.

thank you.
