<p>My D got admitted to Loyola and she has not yet decided if she is going. Is there any advantage to paying the deposit and requesting a refund if she decides not to go? I know some schools allow for better housing, or perfered orientation and class sign-up once you pay the deposit. </p>

<p>Also - for a non pre-med or nursing major, wonder what your thoughts are on the school.</p>

<p>Loyola is considered a very strong school for pre-med and for nursing.</p>

<p>At our tour a couple of weeks ago, I asked about the housing. After May 1st all applicants are considered equally for dorm assignment through a lottery.</p>
