Hey guys, I know everyone is probably sick of these by now–I am also aware that random people chancing me online means nothing–and “only admissions can be tell you for sure…” yada yada but I probably won’t hear from admissions until literally Christmas Eve, so I just need someone to give me a reality check so I don’t get my hopes up too high and end up ruining my perception of Christmas forever. I am applying to LSA–for Screen Arts and Cultures

UW GPA: 3.75–I know this sounds like shit (am I allowed to curse on college confidential? oops.), but I had a huge upward trend after my freshmen year and am a part of my school’s IB Diploma Program and have taken majority IB and AP courses.
Weighted GPA: 4.0
ACT: 32 (Breakdown: 35 W, 26 M, 35 R, 33 S)
EC: Beta Club (Secretary), National Honor Society, Student Government (VP), 4 Year Varsity Soccer, began my own neighborhood food drive, a part of Girl Talk (which is a mentoring program geared towards middle school age girls to build up self confidence and girl power), I am on my school’s IB Board, and I began a feminist club at my school.
Work Experience: I work a part time job at a fast food restaurant and work about 15 hours a week
I thought my essays were pretty strong and painted a good picture of who I was, what I wanted to do in life and why attending Michigan could assist me in my journey. I haven’t read any of my recommendations yet, but I hope they were strong. Ok, I probably left some stuff out, and probably have a couple of grammatical errors in there somewhere but it is almost midnight, so I should get a pass. Hope I didn’t piss anyone off with my annoying question. Thanks for taking the time to read this
