LSA v. School of engineering

I'm not well informed on the college application process or anything about college decisions really, but I was wondering if applying to a certain school (such as LSA) at UofM will increase my chances of getting accepted. My GPA is below UofMs average but I have received A's in my math and science classes. Would this make it more likely for me to get accepted into the school of engineering. Actually, can I apply to both schools and hope I get into one? Like I said I'm not really sure how this works, but I feel like I have a lot of extracurriculars, such as science fairs and math competitions, that may put me in a better spot for the engineering school. Please help me out, thank you.

you can only apply to one college only. Engineering is pretty hard to get into. definitely apply to LSA

Apply to whichever one you want to go into. LSA is easier if you’re a balanced student, but if you’re very Math/Science focused, you’re best off applying to engineering.

Apply Engineering. They take a stronger look at your Math/Science scores. Also it seems like that’s what you would be interested in pursuing.
