okay.. so yall.. I'm going to say this one more time.

my AIM S/N is oharder2breatheo. I'm not a scary person.. I'm actually quite nice (at times) and I'd LOVE to get to know anyone who is attending so we can be acquainted and not feel all alone and stuff when we get there.

i'm in ME!
i actually got my letter on the 10th, although i do only live an hour away from boston

I got reject :( probably becuase my rec was late and I am not sure if they EVER recieved it

I received a letter today saying "You are overqualified .."

yay tennis!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sorry arwen. huggles. I got my FULL TUITION AND TRAVEL EXPENSES PAID FOR!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! OH! Tennis!! I have GREAT NEWS!! I have a friend, that I met through FaceBook that got accepted in to ME, and we've decided that we're going to learn how to play tennis! So you can teach us!! We're also going to plan dorm dinners where we're going to get a bunch of people to help. and it'll be fun, because I can't cook! :D

Oh and.. I'm just a tad excited. :)

i'm soooorry arwen!! you must be amazing to be "overqualified"!! have you taken AP comp sci or something? you must be very smart

congrats meg for getting all that money!! yeah we can play tennis there, i'm excited to go also!!

thank youuuuu :). woo. i've been in the best mood since yesterday at around 10 oclock when the mailman came. so who would be up for some good old fashioned cooking while we're there?? I was thinking that we could eat in the penthouse area thingy and split up the cooking between the 3 floors!

Hey Girls!
I just found your forum and I'm in wtp 007 too!!
EECS!!
And no...I am not catty either!
OH! and I llllloooooovvvvvvveeeeeeee to cook!!
We are going to have so much fun!!
Congrats to all who were accepted!!

if i do go, tennis is a concern of mine as well!! i have season starting right after and i wonder how much time i would get to play?

starburst, you'd have tons of itme to play! teaching me!! :). actually, in all seriousness, classes end at 4, and we have weekends.. so really, you would have a lot of time. The packet thingy said there were nearby courts we could use.

starburst, me too- i have tennis season starting right after!! we should play each other to stay fresh!

Hey Guys! I'm new to the forum... Got accepted into EECS as well... and right now I'm wondering exactly how I did cuz I seem sooo underqualified.. anyways... can't wait.. looking forward to seeing you guys.. and man am I glad that there are gonna be some tennis players there!! hmm love to play tennis, dance, eat (of course!) and have a good time... btw congrats to everyone who got in!!!!!!

What are the average qualifications for WTP participants? Is it ridiculously hard to get in? Harder or easier than, say, RSI or TASP?

welllllll the acceptance rate was 17.4% this year. (My letter said 40/228) So take from that what you will burn. Hey Number1!! Glad to meet ya! Oh, everybody, I was thinking.. we should get a group together in the mornings to jog around campus before class.

okay for ME it also said out of 228. so thats 60/228- 26% acceptance rate. I'm all up for morning jogging.

haha jogging is not really my thing... lol I'm probably the laziest person on the planet.. but sure.. I'm up for it.. maybe..?? gotta get back to that homework that I'm avoiding right now.....

Thanks!

Would you say it would be worthwhile for someone primarily interested in biology to do WTP? Even if one comes away with the strong sense that they do not want to do EECS/ME for a career?

Yeah, definitely. I dislike what I know about CS, and my application showed that I basically know nothing about EECS but tons about ME. Yet they put me in EECS. My point, is that this program's goal is to broaden our horizons. You'll learn new things, meet new people, and have one heck of a time doin' it. :)

oh wow! i got in! but i've already committed to SSP
