I couldn't find any Women's Technology Program thread this year, so I thought I'd start one myself. I am a student applying for the ME program, and I am pretty excited+scared to hear that the result will be released on April 25th. Is there anyone out there who is an applicant like me or an alumni?

Hey Katy, I applied for the WTP program this year! I am a US citizen currently living in Shanghai, China. I specified no preference on my application. Where are you from?

Quite the opposite~ I am a Chinese citizen currently living in Allen TX!

Can’t wait for the results ugh its killing me

@discordantdisco yeah! It’s tomorrow…I am scared

Did you guys apply to any other summer programs?

hey guys! i also applied for the program. What time do you guys think the email is going to be sent out?

11:59pm April 24th

Not really… I wanted to apply to Cornell’s summer program but I don’t have the time. But I can do without summer camp in case I am rejected.

@discordantdisco @audaciously. Which program are you applying for? EECS or ME?

i applied to EECS . hoping for good news for all of us!

Yeah! I’d love to meet ya all

Just wondering, but are all of you guys planning on applying to MIT for undergrad?

Edit: Also, what math/science classes are you guys in right now?

I don’t know…MIT undergraduate is too selective…I will have to see what I can get for my APs and SATs…I am in CalBC and Physics C but I am not sure if I want to major in engineering or not…I am also considering finance and architecture design.

Unless I get really impressive AP and SAT score in May, I’d probably apply to early decision of some less selective school to increase my chance. I am an international student so I can’t apply for MIT’s EA

@KatyHWQ WTP is the only summer program i applied to… I’m leaning towards EECS because I have pretty much zero experience in CS and physics (I’m taking those APs next year)
I’m taking AP Calc AB and I’m doing pretty well in that class, and my AP Bio grade is okay. I don’t think bio is doing me any favors.

DECISIONS COME OUT TODAY

Oh my god, im so nervous.

I am too! I wish everybody the best of luck(:
Sidenote- Did everyone recieve an email from another applicant’s mother containing her SAT scores?

Rejected
