Agreed, the system is awfully outdated, email/call response is VERY rare and they got back to me via email each time between 1-2 months AFTER I EMAILED. Imagine registering for your classes having difficulty each year of completing general requirements that are needed simply because it’s ineffective to use. Honestly, the reason why no one who didn’t get in should be feeling down, you simply avoided a system that is horrendous.
true, and very understandable, but in my opinion, it’s not worth the trouble for me. Knowing myself, I just won’t do well network-wise with a commuter school, too many students, and a confusing system to communicate with the offices of these schools, noting that there are MANY good additions to the Macaulay community undoubtedly, and students prosper substantially. I have a few schools (out of state) with a strong network so that I can look for opportunities, and I will have three advisors right in Boston, good aid, and I can do what I love. New York City is great, but I feel as it drags out all the living happiness out of me at times, and it might just not be for me, I’m not sure yet. Regardless, I find that wherever we all go, I am happy to see people on each forum thinking of their future for the best, and working endlessly.
The CUNY email, Macaulay email, Brooklyn College email, and CCNY email. Each one I would have to sift for but they belong to the respective admissions offices.
I got into Macaulay Brooklyn, and was confused as well so I reached out to admissions (at Brooklyn) and they told me to just accept the Brooklyn offer, they said theres no separate offer that appears on the portal :))
Thank you! When you did accept, did you then get any indication either on the portal or in an email, that Macaulay has your acceptance? Or do we just assume once we accept general school name (like Brooklyn) they take that to mean you naturally want to accept the Macaulay offer?
I think they just assume we accept the Macaulay spot. Shortly after, I did get an invitation to a Brooklyn Honors Academy welcome, but I believe thats just coincidence. Hopefully we will hear more soon. :))
i’m waiting on decisions from carnegie mellon and an actual decision that isn’t an invitation to a random “admitted students” event from lehigh, so no i haven’t accepted my offer yet. my portal only shows john jay as the college.
