<p>Does it hurt my chance if many kids from my high school applies to the same competitive college that I'm applying to?</p>
<p>That depends on your point of view. You will by definition be in competition w/ your peers. Many kids means that the college is probably familiar w/ your HS and thus that may give you all a better chance. Other factors would be how many of your peers are athletic/legacy/development/URM/first generation/low income. How do you compare to your peers?</p>
<p>The first two are first and second in our class, both about 145o sat. Both of them are white, rich and does track and field... and thier ec's are nothing special</p>
