March SAT Math Thread

same ^ but I feel like I remember that answer.

@dakoolkid
Yes, that was the right answer. It was choice I.

And I think there’s going to be a low math curve for this test, since the questions were pretty easy.

damn, i got 1 wrong, there goes my 800…and i was so confidant :(

could that mean question answer be 93 because s0000 many kids in my son’s school got 93 and NOT 88. Could you guys be wrong???

It asked for the median, not the mean.

The right answer was 88, I am 1000% sure. It asked for a median of 88, none of the given numbers had 88.

you positive

I put 93, but now that I think about it, it was 88. I’m ****ed.

was the vetex (4,-1)
and the equation was x^2+bx+15
cuz then the roots are -5 or -3

GMABCD
yes its 88

yup only II

Does anyone remember the exact wording of the question?

^ Nope. It asked for the average number of students per year. The answer was zero.

the average temperature of the first seven days of august of 80 83 85 90 92 93 and “x” if the mean of the seven days is 88 what is the temperature of the seventh day

it had to be 88 because seven is an odd number and when u have an odd number set, the median is always included, so in the this case the median “88” is not included so it has to be put in

hope this helps :)

But you just said that the mean of the seven days is 88

my bad its median

I think he meant to say median. I am positive it was median because I immediately started putting the numbers in order. I would not have done that if it said mean.

The question asked for median, although many people seem to have misread it and answered the question as if it asked for a mean.

don’t you think its just as possible that you misread the question for median instead of mean? It seems as though it is 50/50 from all the posts I have been reading

It was median.
