Can someone tell me about the personalities of the two freshman dorms? I haven’t gotten my assignment yet…is that bad?

Don't expect your assignment until early July.

Personality? I'm not sure that there is much of significance to distinguish them. Both quads are made up of pretty standard brick dorm buildings.

I just mean in terms of dorm life. Any distinguishing characteristics for either?

No, there are no difference at all in terms of dorm life.

They are both similar--traditional residence halls with double loaded corridors.

North is closer to the humanities quad and Massell is closer to the Science complex. Massell is closer to the all you can eat buffet dining hall and North is closer to the the a la carte cafeteria.

It's a small campus...your housing assignment won't make or break anything.

Yeah, good question...are any building nicer/cleaner/dirtier?

gordon and scheffres in North and Renfield in Massell have all been renovated in the past three years, so they are the nicer dorms.

And it doesn't matter since you don't have a choice where you live.

BTW, Scheffres will be a sophomore dorm next year
