Thanks. We will list him as a percussion performance major for purposes of the list because he will start there.

Accepted to Oberlin Conservatory for Vocal Performance! (Soprano) $16K merit scholarship!

Congratulations, sopranoelh. Was this as a result of auditioning in December, or have they now started sending out acceptances from later auditions?

It was from the December 4th audition. I just now found out about this post though, or I would have posted when I found out. Thanks for this thread! It’s so great to hear about everyone’s success at different schools and conservatories!

Congrats sopranoelh and congrats on your scholarship! My D auditioned at Oberlin today for VP. Fingers crossed.

Thank you very much! And good luck to you and your daughter! Oberlin’s so wonderful I can’t believe my luck! I never would have thought I could be accepted somewhere like that!

I auditioned in january…really hoping i get in but i have to wait a bit i had a dream that i got accepted and i was disappointed when i woke up! :p

@18karat - I can totally relate! I’ve had a few acceptance/rejection dreams myself. Waking up after the “acceptance” is terrible, because then you realize it’s not real. Waking up after the “rejection” is equally terrible, because you feel like it’s some sign of your fate. This process is really enough to make one go insane!

As noted here http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/music-major/1087035-now-what.html, congrats to BaTenor and Son (Ithaca College, vocal performance/BM).

My son has been accepted to University of North Carolina School of the Arts-
BM Composition.

Congratulations Marimbamom!

honestmom, what instrument does your son play

Congrats to marimbamom and Son.

As noted on another thread, congratulations to Grabrams and daughter on daughter’s acceptance to Ithaca College as a Music Ed major with concentration in flute.

My son has been accepted to Berklee College of Music for BM performance (drum set) and at Belmont University for audio engineering and technology.

drumbonemom, welcome and congratulations to both you and your son.

Just to clarify, I’m assuming that the Belmont acceptance is for the Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business. Is the intended degree the BS or the BA variant? [Program Overview - Belmont University](http://www.belmont.edu/cemb/program_overview/index.html?)

I’ve listed it now as the BS, but if that’s not the case, just let us know and we’ll amend it.

violadad, Thanks! And you’ve got it right and he would do the BS track.

D received an acceptance to Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University today as a violin music education major. She’s thrilled.

Suzukimomto2, congrats to you and Daughter. That’s a straight music ed major, not a performance/ed combo?

She only auditioned as Music ed but might add performance after she attends for a semester.
