Master List of Music School Acceptances, Fall 2012

Thank you for the help! Her outside field is English.

I’ve been accepted at George Mason University for a Bachelor’s in Music Education, with concentration in voice.

S has acceptance from Indiana/Jacobs, in Composition, with piano “option 2” - (i.e., lessons but not the full piano major.) Apparently he applied accidently for the BS in Composition with an Outside Field, but I’m told he can fix that fairly easily, so let’s call it the BM in Composition :)

Has anyone heard anything from CCM (for BM VP) following the 2/11-12 auditions ?? I ask only because my S is still waiting for a determination, while a friend of his locally received a NO via snail mail yesterday.

wvuguy, did you check his status online? A few families posting here found the acceptance posted online after entering user name and password on the UC Admissions “check your status” page. None were VP, however, which might be handled differently.

jpm1: I believe he DID do that, and I don’t believe he’d received any determination as yet. In light of the referenced reject letter his friend received, I guess that’s represents “good news”.

Congratulations to friday4realg who reported via PM an acceptance to Indiana University Jacobs School of Music for a BM in Composition with primary instrument being piano.

Congratulations to pianosoprano, and to momophony and son.

Beyond pleased to report my S received his acceptance today from CCM for the BMVP Program…he can die happy now. Still waiting for an official from Ohio University, as well as CIM.

Audition season closes for him in a few weeks with the Super Bowl at Curtis.

Congratulations to wvuguy and son.

Congratulations to Mater and daughter, for daughter’s acceptance to a BM flute performance program at George Mason University, as reported on another thread.

Apologies for breaking the string here…but whoever PM’d me the other night asking about the Ohio University VP program, please do so once again.

I was in the process of responding, but I accidentally deleted your original message (along with my response to you before sending it). At least, I think that’s what happened. OTOH, if I somehow did properly send my response to you…it frankly wasn’t all that useful…feel free to disregard this request.

Thank you BassDad. Today she received her acceptance for University of North Carolina School of the Arts for BM with flute concentration. Yay! The other decisions probably won’t come until April 1.

Congratulations once more to Mater and daughter.

D just heard she was accepted for Music Performance + Music Education on oboe at University of Colorado at Boulder.

S has been accepted to Rutgers Mason Gross School of the Arts for BM in Jazz Trombone.

Yes BassDad D was accepted to Jacobs for a BM in performance - Viola.

Congratulations everyone. We are waiting for 1 more decision. Ugh hate the waiting game. Especially when all the apps were in by 11/1!

S has choices at Fredonia but would pursue actual double major-one in cello and one in composition if he goes to school here.

D got letter from SUNY Potsdam/Crane School of Music today. She has been accepted for double major Oboe Performance + Music Ed.

Congratulations to everyone on their acceptances! Good luck to those still waiting to hear or auditioning!

Congratulations to everyone - March really is the longest month!
