Master of Accounting: UMich VS USC

Hi guys:

Right now I'm struggling between USC and U Mich (Ann Arbor) for the master's in accounting program. I had my BA accounting from Michigan State University.I am currently interning at EY Chicago so most likely I will also start my full-time there after graduation. Short term job placement is not my biggest worry for now. I am more concerned about which one would be better for a long term career development since I don't want to be an auditor forever. Both programs are pretty short (about 10 months).

In addition, I am an international student from China. So in the long term I may go back, which is another factor that I wanna take into consideration.

In your opinion, which one do you think should be first? and WHY?
Any opinion is appreciated! Thanks

They both have strong accounting programs. I think your decision boils down to where you want to eventually work in the US.
If Chicago or NYC, go with UMich.
If SF, LA, or anything West, go with USC.

In the long term if you go back to China, I’m not sure which has better rep there. On a global level, USC is more of an up and coming school but their accounting school and faculty are well recognized.
