I have Weisbart for 33b right now and he is awesome! I want to take him for 131a next quarter, but I haven't take 115a yet. Would 131a be too hard without 115a first? And is it possible to do both at the same time? I was thinking maybe

131a - Weisbart
115a - vilenchik. I'd prefer Liu since he was pretty easy 33a teacher, but section conflicts with Weisbart's 131a.
Stats 100a - Christou

for next quarter. Is this doable? I don't necessarily have much time on my hands so I can't dedicate intense amounts of studying time for these classes, but would this be considered a normal courseload? I haven't taken any upper divs yet so I don't know what to expect.

What are some easy GEs in the history/social science area that is offered next quarter?

131A will have about 4 -10 hours of homework each week.
115A will have about 4 -10 hours as well.
for HW is varies how good you are, and how often you visit the TA when you get stuck.
100A won’t be that difficult, less than 3 hours per week of homework.

I suggest you keep up with the material rather than cram with that kind of load. If the 131A and 115A midterms are the same day or week, then in my opinion studying for both last-minute would be difficult. After you take these two courses you will be a lot more familiar with math though.

I know someone who took both 131A and 115A. However, he took Math 61 first, which introduced him to proof methods. 115A is suppose to be the transition course. I recommend that if you do this, spend spring break preparing a background in proofs. My TA typed this up about proofs, it may help you <a href=“ucla.in - Create shortened links to UCLA web pages”>ucla.in - Create shortened links to UCLA web pages;

131A is more difficult in content, but it depends on the professor for overall difficulty. If your 115A professor is really hard, then 115A may be harder than 131A. But in general, 131A is harder than 115A.
