Hello, I took the math IC and did not do all that well...I am going into senior year but will be taking Pre-Calc as a senior, and I need to retake one of the Math Subject Tests, and logically it would be in my best interest to re-take Math IC in October, but I hear that the Math IIC curve is much more leniant, so even though I will only have had a month of pre-calc under my belt, does the curve outweigh the possible lack of knowledge? Also, how would one reccomend that I go about preparing for the Math IIC in October if I am only going into Pre-calc, for instance...any good books or other advice?

Pre-Calc really helps for Math IIC. How exactly "bad" did you do on Math IC. Without knowing your score I can't really say if you should retake it or if you should take Math IIC.

For prep books...the Barron's book has great explanations but their tests are completely unrealistic. The McGraw-Hill's book had better tests though (while their explanations were crap with lots of errors/typos).
