Math II, Math I or both this Saturday?

My son is scheduled to take the Math II exam Saturday (also Spanish). In doing practice tests in the CB book this past weekend he scored a 680 (on Friday night) and a 740 on Sunday. And he's been putting in some time with the Barrons book this week. He's not even scoring those tests because they are so difficult. BTW, thanks to posters on this board for the warning that Barrons is much harder.

Would it make any sense for him to switch from Math II to Math I? I know that two practice tests - one of them taken on a Friday night - is not a lot to go on, but any suggestions might be helpful. Also, what about taking both tests?

Thanks.

I think that he should just take Math II, as his practice scores suggest that he will probably end up with scores in the 700’s. That is good enough for most universities, other than maybe MIT and Caltech, and I don’t think those schools would even accept Math I. Taking both of them on Saturday seems unnecessary. Good luck.

He should probably take Math II. But if he has any extra hour to kill, and wants another 700+, why not?

I would recommend to take both. I took both and did fine :)
