Math II SAT

I'm taking the Math SAT II in October and everyone I have been talking to says its really really difficult and some of the questions are like impossible. Is this true? I have been going through the Princeton Review Book and the material doesn't seem too hard as of now. For anybody that has taken it, is it really that hard?

Thanks

No. Whoever you talked too probably aren’t that good at math at all or are trying to psych you. I used the Barrons book for review and got a 780. The test wasn’t that hard at all. I made some dumb mistakes that cost me an 800. But it is pretty easy to get a 700+

For me The test was similar to kaplan’s practice tests but i kept on getting a little less than 700 on them so i thougt it was difficult. Then i practiced using barrons, and never got higher than 700 on them but the actual test was soooo much easier. I got 800 :)

Oh wow congrats! Did you ever use the Princeton Review Book? I am using it right now and im going to take them next week. Do you suggest me doing the barrons book as well?

I think I used Kaplan and Princeton and I averaged 740-780 on practice tests. Then I took the real thing and got an 800. The Math II test isn’t too hard, just be careful to not make stupid mistakes. Adrenaline/pressure will also (hopefully) help in the testing center, so if you’re not averaging as high as you would like on practice tests, don’t lose hope. :)

No I didn’t use it, but I heard PR is in general pretty good. Barron’s is much more difficult than the actual test, so after practicing with it, the actual test will seem really easy. I also know a friend who got an 800 after using only Barrons. I suggest using it, but I don’t want you to be stressing out. ^^

Ya if you are good at math it shouldn’t be that difficult. I didn’t even use a book and got an 800, but I do remember some challenging questions. You just have to focus a lot during the test and make sure you know all the concepts that will be on the subject test. Good Luck  If you do use a prep book my friends told me that either Princeton Review or Barron’s is good.
