Math is SOOOOO HARD! :(

Okay, so I took the SAT in Nov. and I got

680 CR
570 M
690 W (10 essay)

I really want to push my CR up to 720+ and my math to at least 650 by Dec. what can I do?
I've took about 3-4 practice exams and gone over my answers and watched Khan Academy, but it doesn't seem to help my score much (I am now getting around 600, which is still horrible..) As for CR, I'm studying DH and taking practice exams, but my score is stagnant. (680-700 every freaking practice test) Help!

How do you know what you got?

no seriously, how do you know what you got??? are you an international student?

Scores come out in 32 hours…

Math is really easy man once you get the basics and understand them well math will be easy, but you have to focus really hard and you can get 700 easily anyone can get 700 easily, because only 5 question in the entire SAT that might be hard or you didn’t cover one topic as much as others.

I scored 750 in october, but after I understood all math from khan academy and solved like 25 exams. My school didn’t teach me math good so I had to go to khanacademy, but you might have good school and even require less time to get such score.

I scored 800 in maths when I took SAT I for the first time in Oct.
I just cannot comprehend why so many students score in reading/writing insanely higher score than that of maths, whereas reading/writing requires utterly different levels of academic aptitudes. I only got 610 in reading and 620 in writing after months of practices.

October, sorry i wrote nov. by accident.

Yes. Yes it is.
Sitting pretty on 620 math, 740 CR, 790 W.

“Anyone can get 700 easily”
lololol

I got my 670 last time and was ecstatic lol. Math is difficult in comparison to reading a few stories…

it seems the questions I have the most trouble with are the last few of the SAT math section (15-20). I can usually solve 2-3 of them but I am completely blank with the others. This, coupled with the ubiquitous one or two wrong somewhere in the 8-15 is keeping me at a 570-600. This is so frustrating. What can I do? Buy Dr. Chungs? (heard that was for advanced math students) Try grubers? Try the SAT math bible? I’m using Khanacademy, but I don’t seem to be improving. How do you guys learn from your mistakes in math? For me, I learn how to do the problem and make sure I know how to do it. But, learning it doesn’t seem to transfer to other problems. There are always new questions that test/challenge me. My last SAT is Dec. 3. I’m prepared to focus all of my energies on math - please help!

Don’t try Gruber’s!!! it’s too elementary. You are just gonna waste your time, since Dec is so soon. I also have the same prob and score 600+ usually. My problem is that I usually make careless mistakes and sometimes there are just some bunch of math probs I don’t know how to solve. I wanted to buy Dr. Chung’s coz’ people say that it’s for an 800. But there is no time for me to wait for Dr. Chung’s to be delivered by mail since I’m an international. So, I’m trying out Dr. Steve’s. It costs only 3 sth dollars for an e-book. I bought it yesterday and have been doing it since then. It seems pretty good so far and it mostly concentrates on level 4 or 5 math. I wasted my time using Gruber’s. It was too elementary. So try out Dr. Steve’s. just google it.

please gurl. save the drama for your mama
